Comments: This is the second incarnation of the DT-420. Hoshino-Gakki issued a German-only release of the Destroyer in 1992/1993 and designated it the DT-420. In 2002/2003, Hoshino-Gakki released a new Destroyer to the US market and, unfortunately, designated it the DT-420 as well. The two versions of the DT-420 are very different from one another and are not related in any way as far as we know.
This second incarnation of the DT-420 is a re-issue of the second incarnation of the DT-400 (1996).
I'm not certain which line the second DT-420 belongs to. It is a reissue of the DT-400 (which was a Destroyer-II) yet the headstock clearly states "Ibanez Destroyer" not "Ibanez Destroyer-II".
